The raised price – synthetic oils with good antifrictional properties

Basically synthetic oils are not "artificial", as well as existing mineral oils, however they are always more expensive. The reason: in synthetic oils the molecular structure of "natural" crude oil at the expense of use of expensive technologies (Cracken) remains, and they mix up with special additives under other recipe. As an equivalent of a high purchase price their manufacturers promise the small expense of oil and fuel, high stability and long firmness: theoretically it means the increased interval of replacement of oil. Concepts and the norms concerning oil

Viscosity: characterises a measure of fluidity of lubricant oil. In the winter liquid engine oil which at cold start-up gets at once into all places of greasing of the engine, – the first choice. ACEA (Association des Constructeuers Europeen dAutomobiles): the European norms entered in 1996 have replaced norms ССМС with oil. For carburettor engines are offered group A1 (the oil saving fuel), А2 (малонагружаемое oil), А3 (oil for work severe conditions). For diesel units the division on В1, В2 and В3 is given here.

ССМС (Committee des Constructeuers dAutomobiles du Marche Commun): the Specification consists of letters G (gasoline) and PD (diesel fuel), and also numbers. The more number, the above quality of oil.

API (American Petroleum Institute): the specification consists of letter S (carburettor engines) and With (diesel engines), and also the subsequent letters. The above this letter costs alphabetically, the above quality of oil.

As soon as lubricant juice will answer the named criteria, it is possible to mix grades of oil of different manufacturers. Thus it is necessary to reckon, however, with that specific properties of initial recipes worsen. Each product is characterised by the specific structure which efficiency at mixing with other oils can weaken. For this reason the combination of mineral and synthetic oil also is not meaningful. Similarly it is impossible to mix pure diesel oils with oils for carburettor engines – at worst it will provoke occurrence of defects of the engine.

Thanks to it you on a right way: engines Mondeo are not necessarily calculated on expensive synthetic oil. Ford recommends for our range of widths engine oils of a class of viscosity SAE 5W-30.

Absolutely normally – the small expense of oil

A few oils are spent by any engine. Partially it gets to the chamber of combustion and there participates in burning process. In this case it is necessary to replace oil through shorter intervals; approximately already through 6000 kilometres or time in half a year.
