6.1. A cooling liquid

The cooling liquid (cooling means) in Mondeo consists of a mix of water without to exhaust, means against freezing and corrosion. At factories Ford spills cooling liquid which includes in the structure about 50 % of a coolant (ESMD-97B49-A) and 50 % of water. It is quite enough of it for reliable protection at–30 °С. Only at nearby–38 °С the liquid starts to stiffen (hardening temperature) – value which for our widths has only theoretical value. The majority of liquids is lost by the properties after four years of "work" and consequently should be replaced. For доливки standard means against freezing which, agrees to the data of the manufacturer is used, it is possible to mix with water. Be cautious with cheap products: they do not possess sufficient corrosion protection and besides can corrode alloys from easy metals. Expediently basically to use only such means which specifications Ford correspond.
