10.1. Coupling

In models Mondeo with a mechanical transmission at each change of transfer the engine by means of one-disk dry coupling separates from a transmission – for tens years repeatedly approved decision. For those who works independently, one-disk dry coupling possesses, certainly, that lack that the worn out details, such as a conducted disk or the bearing of deenergizing of coupling, in case of repair are not «on a kind». In Mondeo for this purpose it is necessary to separate a transmission from the engine and to dismantle: work which demands serious knowledge and special tools. Command work

Coupling consists of a flywheel 1, a coupling disk (a conducted disk) 2 and a press disk of coupling (an automatic drive of coupling) 3. In all Mondeo with a mechanical transmission press the coupling disk has мембранную a spring.
