Dismantle a power shaft as it is described above.
For dismantle of the internal hinge fix in the beginning a power shaft in a vice with protective sponges.
"Break off" a clamping tape and utilise it.
Shift a cuff back and utilise old greasing.
Remove now a hinge star (it is specified by an arrow).

Installation of the external hinge
Do not overwind the hinge – look has undressed Dismantle and power shaft installation / the cross-section lever of a suspension bracket.

Spread a new cuff of the external hinge and fill its maximum 55 г greasings (Ford MIC 230 – AA).
To remove air, enclose a screw-driver under cuff landing.
Before a tightening of new clamping tapes level a cuff on labels on a shaft.

Installation of the internal hinge
|
|
Correct position for cuff installation is defined by the set distance between internal and external cuffs.
Level a cuff according to shaft. The internal distance between cuffs makes 180 mm (Duratec-HE), 160 mm (the left power shaft, Mondeo with an automatic transmission), 165,5 mm (Duratec-VE, DuraTorg).
Mount an internal clamping tape.
Mount now a star of the hinge and establish a new safety ring.
Duratec-HE
Fill in in the hinge a maximum 155 г greasings (Ford USD MIC 230-A).
Duratec-VE/Duratorg-DI
Fill in in the hinge a maximum 165 г greasings (Ford USD MIC 230-A).
Mount the hinge case on a power shaft and shift back on 20 mm 2. To remove air, enclose a screw-driver under landing of a cuff 1.
In this position now mount a clamping tape.
Mount a power shaft as it is described above.
