16.8. Dismantle and installation of wingsThe order of the given works from both parties is almost identical. As an example the description for a left-hand side is resulted.

… disconnect a socket from lateral indexes of turn.
Further dismantle sound insulation (screws are specified by arrows).

Unscrew screws of a wing (arrow) on a forward rack. Do not forget also about the top screw, it is not shown in drawing.

Further unscrew screws (arrows) on a wheel wing and pull out from lattice apertures.

Before removing a wing, by means of narrow шпателя or a sharp knife cautiously separate contact surfaces to a body.
Remove a wing and lower the car on wheels. Track that you Mondeo settled down whenever possible on the flat basis.
Before installation varnish a new wing and protect it on internal folds and in a contact zone in a wing from a rust.
Clean contact surfaces in a forward part and protect defective places a first coat and an integumentary varnish. Give to a varnish enough time for drying.
Before installation of a new wing close a door and level a wing in the beginning on a door fold.
Insert further all screws and tighten them strongly in a fold covered. Preliminary clean a carving and slightly grease it. Check up a door backlash (4,0 mm ± 1,0 mm) and if necessary correct.
On a following step from the middle to edges tighten screws on a forward rack. Thus level wing position.
Similarly arrive with screws on a wheel niche (tighten from the middle outside).
Check after work with each screw also a backlash with an engine cowl (4,0 mm ± 1,0 mm).
In summary check up all backlashes and definitively fix a wing.
Instal upside-down.
