9.7. Search of malfunctions of the fuel pump

One relay feeds the electric fuel pump with pressure. Since the period of start-up the pump submits fresh fuel to atomizers. The second relay comes into effect only when the engine at the included ignition stops (the management block any more does not accept impulses about frequency of rotation). The relay after that interrupts in РСМ by means of the safety scheme current giving. Thanks to it, for example, there is no leak of fuel after failure. Earlier check of the fuel pump was a workshop prerogative. During search of malfunctions be better limited to following points.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect wires of the storage battery and...
  2. ... Disconnect the pressure head pipeline from a distributive tube. Prepare rags for following gasoline.
  3. As the fuel system is under pressure, gasoline follows even at the stopped engine.
  4. If connection remains dry, quickly include ignition, thus do not operate with a starter.
  5. If the pump does not work, check up a safety lock or the safety relay.
  6. If connection continues to remain dry, check up the pump relay.
  7. Now the fuel pump should earn.
  8. Otherwise dismantle facing under a back seat and "treat" the pump case with cautiously blows of a small hammer – sometimes it helps.

    Almost silent: the electropump on 12 Volt:

    1 — Connection of a current,
    2 — Hydraulic connection (the submitting pipeline),
    3 — the Return valve,
    4 — Coal brushes,
    5 — the Anchor of the engine with a constant magnet,
    6 — the Rotor of the pump,
    7 — Hydraulic connection (the drain pipeline),
    And — the Chamber of forcing,
    In — the Engine of the pump 12 Volt,
    With — the Inlet/drain chamber.

  9. Thus also check up, whether connecting plugs on contacts strongly sit.
  10. If also it on it has not worked, check up with the help диодного a tester (the usual control lamp can damage a control mean) pressure presence. Thus do not forget to include ignition in the beginning.
  11. If pressure is available, defect in the pump or breakage in a connecting wire. Your chances of elimination of defects in the fuel pump are naturally small, therefore is better to establish the new pump.
  12. If the pump works, however in the pressure head pipeline there is no fuel it is polluted or "only" надломан the fuel filter or топливопровод.
