9.8. Dismantle and installation of the fuel pump (the petrol engine)

Disconnect a wire on weight of the storage battery.
Empty a fuel tank and dismantle it under the car.
Dismantle submitting and drain pipelines, and also a connecting wire.
Cautiously release a fixing ring the special tool (Ford 23055) or by means of a punch and a hammer and turn out.
To pull out the pump from a tank, turn slightly the case counter-clockwise.
For installation of the new pump use a new sealing ring.
In the beginning clean all condensing surfaces and necessarily level all assembly marks on a tank and the fuel pump against each other.
Tighten a safety ring with the moment of an inhaling 80 Н·м and finish installation upside-down.
Again connect the accumulator, let the pump will work within nearby 30 seconds at the included ignition. So much time will be enough that pressure of fuel in system was established in norm.
In end check up all connections of pipelines on tightness.
