12.17. Replacement of a cable of a lay brake

Put reliably the car on goats or lift it completely.
Release the lever of a lay brake.
Dismantle an exhaust system – as it is described above – and further dismantle the heat-shielding panel (screws are specified by arrows) under the car.

... Lower a cable of a manual brake – as it is described above – on a support of a brake drive.
Now release a cable from тросового the balance weight (it is specified by an arrow).
Lower then a cable of a manual brake on the bottom. For this purpose compress both fixing ledges 1 and lower a cable 1 on the bottom.
Now it is possible to remove a cable from the car bottom (arrows see) completely.

Before mounting a new cable, spend a tension of the adjusting mechanism in supports of disk brake mechanisms.
Hang up a new cable and finish installation upside-down.
For the basic adjustment of a new cable some times against the stop pull the brake lever. The self-regulating mechanism which establishes preliminary tense draughts thereby becomes more active and levels their length.
Check up a lever course, brake overlays should approximately from the fourth stop easily adjoin to brake disks, and further disks from seventh "tooth" should be blocked.
Spend a short trial trip. During this trip cautiously include a manual brake and observe uniform brake effect on both back wheels.
If brake action non-uniform check up lengths of cables and correct them repeatedly.
