13.6. Engine start "from outside" – with a wire connecting a starter and the auxiliary storage battery, without problems

For simplification of start-up use only a special electronic wire, thereby you protect electronic elements of yours Mondeo from dangerous influence of peaks of pressure.


    Put «an extraneous starter» as it is possible more close to «the discharged accumulator». The wire connecting a starter and the auxiliary storage battery, should settle down "freely" between batteries. Disconnect in "the emergency" car of all consumers. At the first stage connect positive poles of accumulators a red auxiliary wire. In the beginning spend connection to discharged, and then to the charged battery. Then a black auxiliary wire connect minus poles of both accumulators. If it is not enough length of wires, use "dense" connections to weight in a motor compartment. Start the engine in "car-assistant" and establish on average frequencies of rotation. It is quite enough of it that the generator developed enough current. Now start the engine in the car with the discharged accumulator. If the engine is started not at once, between attempts always do small pauses – otherwise the starter can heat up. During pauses the current already flows from charged to the discharged battery. The engine operating time of "an extraneous starter» does not spare its own accumulator. As soon as the engine has earned, disconnect connections: in the beginning disconnect at the working engine a black wire from minus poles "discharged" and then the charged battery. Further similarly arrive with a red wire. Load now necessarily discharged accumulator with a trial trip on distance about 30 km on slightly raised turns of the engine.
